“These Lung Simulators easily provide simulation of a variety of lung conditions.”
Michigan Instruments Infant Lung Simulators provide realistic, repeatable simulation of infant and pediatric pulmonary mechanics for respiratory training, ventilator testing, device development, and research.
The Adult-Infant configuration combines an adult and infant lung simulator in one system, allowing users to work with different patient populations and adjust lung mechanics to create a range of respiratory conditions.
If you need to create spontaneous breathing, the model is also available as a Spontaneous Breathing Lung (SBL™).
The Adult-Infant Lung Simulator combines one adult lung and one infant lung in a single unit.
The two lung models operate independently and can be used simultaneously, giving educators, engineers, and researchers the flexibility to work across patient populations.
The system provides:
This configuration is especially useful for programs that train across adult and pediatric populations or need flexibility for different testing applications.
The Adult-Infant Lung Simulator is available with or without PneuView® electronics and software.
PneuView® adds real-time measurement and visualization of respiratory parameters, including:
An Adult or Infant Head Simulation Module can be added to support applications involving non-invasive ventilation, oxygen delivery, and other respiratory support systems.
The head module provides an additional way to simulate patient-facing equipment and introduce leak and airway-related scenarios.
Michigan Instruments Lung Simulators are designed for professionals who need realistic, repeatable respiratory simulation without unnecessary complexity.
Each simulator is calibrated and includes a Certificate of Calibration.
